Jennie Hull, MA, LCPC

Chief Program Officer

Jennie Hull is a strong and empathetic nonprofit leader who serves as chief program officer at Nourishing Hope, one of the largest and longest operating hunger relief organizations in Chicago.

In her tenure at Nourishing Hope, which has spanned seven years in total, Jennie has been a guiding force as the organization has evolved into a dynamic social services organization serving the whole city of Chicago.

Jennie oversees all client-facing programs at Nourishing Hope. She’s led her growing team of about 30 direct reports through tumultuous times of pandemic, economic recession and social unrest — all while expanding food and social services for people in need.

A licensed clinical professional counselor, Jennie launched Nourishing Hope’s mental wellness counseling program in 2017. This groundbreaking work has made mental health counseling more accessible to people who turn to us for food.

On the food side, Jennie has worked to expand Nourishing Hope’s program offerings and community partnerships in order to reduce barriers — and, ultimately, serve more people in need. In 2019, she launched the first-of-its-kind online market, an innovative program that allows people to order food online for pickup.

Jennie is a proud member of the 2024 Leadership Greater Chicago class of fellows. She earned her bachelor of science degree at Ohio State University, and her master’s degree in clinical counseling at The Chicago School.

A breast cancer survivor, she serves on the board of directors for Equal Hope, an organization dedicated to racial equity in breast cancer treatment.
