David Stone

Finance Chair

David is a partner at Neal Gerber & Eisenberg, where he represents clients in complex corporate and securities transactions, and in general corporate, corporate governance and executive compensation matters. He is Co-Chair of the Cross-Border Practice Group, where he co-leads a globally-recognized transactional precious metals mining practice, and was previously the long-time Chair of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Although David grew up and went to school in Michigan, he has lived in Chicago for over 35 years, much of which was in southwest Lakeview where his two daughters were raised.

David’s introduction to Nourishing Hope came as a volunteer, where he truly appreciated the work done by the dedicated and caring staff and the benefits that the Pantry provided within his own neighborhood. His dedication and involvement has continued to grow over the years, as he is now one of the longest serving current board members and Chair of the Finance Committee. While the Bears and Bulls have long ago pushed aside by boyhood teams, David remains a loyal Tigers fan and Michigan Wolverine fanatic.
