We understand that coming to a food pantry for the first time can sometimes be a difficult or confusing experience, but at Nourishing Hope, we do our best to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

The option of food choice has returned to Sheridan! (Our pre-packaged “Express” distribution will continue to be available if desired.) This process might take a little longer, but we are excited to welcome you inside if you choose. Bonus produce pick-ups will continue to be pre-packaged.

Areas of Eligibility

We serve our neighbors throughout Chicago whose incomes are below certain guidelines. We do NOT require proof of income but we will ask you to verbally attest that your income does not exceed the USDA program guidelines.

Proxies

Picking up food for someone else? Please fill out a form called a “Proxy.” It needs to be completely filled out and signed by both you and your proxy. We only need these forms for monthly distribution pickups.
