To keep our volunteers, staff, and community healthy and safe, we’ve had to make some difficult decisions due to the recent spike in COVID cases. To reduce the risk of transmission before the holidays, we will not be distributing food on Thursday, Dec. 23.

Please read below for more details, as well as a reminder about our upcoming holiday closures. Social services, such as mental wellness counseling, and job and housing assistance, are available virtually. Drop-in social services will resume Jan. 4.

Tuesday, Dec. 21

No changes to typical distributions at Sheridan and La Casa Norte’s Fresh Market. Food is distributed at the Sheridan pantry, 3945 N. Sheridan Rd., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The La Casa Norte pantry, 3533 W. North Ave., runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 22

Sheridan Market: We will only be distributing emergency boxes of nonperishable food items, along with a limited supply of produce and dairy. We will not be able to offer choice.

La Casa Norte’s Fresh Market: Express food distribution only, as scheduled.

Thursday, Dec. 23

Sheridan Market: Food distribution is cancelled.

Online Market: Food distribution is cancelled.

As a reminder, Nourishing Hope programs will be closed on the following dates. (Please note that after Wednesday, Dec. 22, the next time food distributions will take place is Wednesday, Dec. 29.)
