3-2-1 Blastoff! The NEW lakeviewpantry.org is now live!
A website redesign was something we thought about for years, and as we continued to grow both our programs and our geographic reach, we realized the time to make a change was upon us. With the opening of our Online Market and The Hub, the redesign coincides with our expanding role as one of the leading organizations in the fight against hunger and poverty in Chicago. Most importantly, the new site brings to life our commitment to the communities that we serve, and a promise of what is to come.
Our goal with the new site was to create a user-friendly browsing experience for our clients, donors, and volunteers alike. All three audiences use our site in very different ways and are all equally important. We believe the new, uncluttered interface is easy to navigate and highlights what is really important to each group. At the end of the day, our website is only useful if it furthers our mission of ending hunger and poverty in the city.
Whether on desktop, tablet or mobile phone, the updated site provides an elevated experience that aims to accomplish three things: 1) Attracts you to our site 2) Inspires you to act and 3) Offers you relevant content. Go ahead and explore for yourself. We hope you like the changes. If you have feedback, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for visiting!
Very special thanks go out to our web designer, Orbit Media Studios, as well as the photographers whose work is featured on our site – Gosia Photography, Tom Harris Photography, Tony Armour Photography, and Eric Futran. We couldn’t have done it without you!
