The possibilities are endless!
There are so many great ways to host an event that benefits Lakeview Pantry. Lakeview Pantry staff can help with planning, promotion and inspiration.

Below are some great examples of successful types of events to get you started!
For every $1 you donate, Lakeview Pantry can provide 8 meals to our hungry neighbors.
Host a Virtual Food Drive
Lakeview Pantry’s Virtual Food Drive is an easy and fun online alternative to a traditional non-perishable food drive.
Because Lakeview Pantry is able to purchase 10 pounds of food for every $1 we receive, by creating your own personal fundraising page and encouraging your friends and family to give, you can make a far greater impact than you would by collecting food on your own!
Donate Your Proceeds
Have a party, birthday, wedding or special event coming up? Instead of gifts, considering asking your guests to give their gifts to Lakeview Pantry. Many young people donate proceeds from Bar and Bat Mitzvahs to the Pantry.
Involve Your Kids
Kids across Lakeview are often contributing to Lakeview Pantry, and we could not be more proud! From bake sales to church fundraising to tooth fairy money, we love to see the youngest members of the Lakeview Pantry family getting excited about feeding their neighbors.
One of our young donors, Maya, held a lemonade stand during the Pride Parade and raised $136.50 to help our neighbors in need! To get involved in our quarterly Kids Council, email grace@lakeviewpantry.org.
Host An Event
Local restaurants often host month-long events for Lakeview Pantry, usually based around a single special item, or a percentage of patrons’ bills. Or service providers, like Knecht Chiropractic in Lakeview, have offered free services in exchange for donations.
Whatever your business, passion or expertise, we’d love to brainstorm with you as to how we can partner together to raise both awareness of your brand and of the need for emergency food assistance in our neighborhood.
