Taneka Taylor, LCSW, CTP


Taneka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She holds a master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in mental health as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Illinois University. Prior to joining Lakeview Pantry, Taneka worked with young adults and seniors coping with severe and persistent mental illness, with a focus on treating depression and anxiety. Taneka provided therapeutic interventions via psychotherapy in individual and group settings in various community mental health centers and rehabilitation facilities.

Taneka prioritizes meeting a client where they are by listening to their story and supporting their right to self-determination. Taneka encourages clients to set their therapeutic goals through collaborative discussion, and utilizes a strength-based perspective to treat her clients with respect and dignity. Her specific areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, interpersonal issues and life transitions.
