During the COVID-19 crisis, we will post weekly updates about our programs and any important news we have to share. Included at the end of this post are the ways you can support the Pantry.
In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, Lakeview Pantry is modifying its food distribution model in order to limit the possible transmission of the virus and keep our staff, volunteers and clients safe, while at the same time ensuring our neighbors in need get the food they need to feed themselves and their families. Lakeview Pantry will be hosting “check-in” tables where you can learn about the ways to keep your SNAP benefits. Let us help! Dates: Friday, March 20 from 12 – 4pm, Friday, April 17 from 12 – 4pm, Monday, April 20 from 12 – 4pm.
Stop by Lakeview Pantry to use a computer and receive help completing the United States Census! Please bring everything that has been mailed to you regarding this year’s Census.

Every month, Milt’s Barbecue for the Perplexed selects a different charitable organization to receive a monetary gift on the basis of its outstanding service to our community. Lakeview Pantry is excited to be this February’s recipient!
We are very pleased to share Lakeview Pantry’s FY 2019 Annual Report! The past year was filled with many exciting events, milestones and transitions. As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2020, we look back on all that the Pantry has accomplished and are overwhelmed with gratitude!

Please join Lakeview Pantry’s Young Leaders Board for our End Hunger Social on April 30, 2020: a night of drinks, apps, raffles and fun all in support of our mission to eliminate hunger in our community!
Stop by John’s Place in Roscoe Village on Jan. 21 for a community night benefiting Lakeview Pantry! 20% of your bill will be donated back to us.
Put your thinking caps on, grab your brainiest friends, and come out to The River Kitchen and Bar on February 4 for a fun night of trivia to support a great cause! Help the Lakeview Pantry Young Leaders Board raise funds to support the Pantry’s food distribution, case management, and mental wellness programs.
The 8th annual Chicago Volunteer Expo is coming up on Sunday, February 23! Lakeview Pantry will be one of 75 nonprofit organizations from all over the city sharing more information about volunteering and making a difference in your community.
We had another great year at Lakeview Pantry in 2019! We had so much to celebrate, including our Online Market, opening The Hub, launching a new site in Humboldt Park and even more! Thank you so much for all your support in 2019, and we’re wishing all of our friends and supporters the best in the new year!
