Kate Swiatek, LCSW

Clinical Therapist

Kate is a licensed clinical social worker. She holds a master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in Health as well as a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Central College. Prior to joining Lakeview Pantry in May 2021, Kate worked in healthcare and residential settings, providing care management and counseling to individuals experiencing homelessness, persistent mental illness, chronic health conditions, substance abuse, and domestic violence.

Kate has a person-centered, harm reduction approach to therapy that acknowledges that every person is expert on their own life and prioritizes trauma informed care. Kate believes in working collaboratively with clients to create goals towards living more authentically. Kate’s specific areas of interest include grief, depression and anxiety, health concerns, immigration, and relationship issues. Kate is also fluent in Polish.
