VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Come join the team at Lakeview Pantry! We rely on volunteers to help provide the services that help over 2,000 individuals every month. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Erin Stephens at 773-517-4813 or erin@lakeviewpantry.org. Here are the details of our ongoing opportunities:

Food Distribution East: Is located at 3831 N. Broadway. We are open for distribution on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00-4:00. We ask volunteers to arrive early and stay for the full-time. Volunteers will generally work from 11:00-4:30. Volunteers will assist with working the counter, restocking food, repacking bulk foods, sorting clothing and other various jobs.

Food Distribution West: Is located at 1414 West Oakdale. Lakeview Pantry West is open for distribution on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-8:00pm and Saturday from 11:30-1:00pm. We ask volunteers to arrive early and stay for the full distribution period. Volunteers typically work from 5:00-8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10:00-1:30 on Saturdays. Volunteers will assist with working the counter, restocking food, repacking bulk foods, sorting clothing and other various jobs.

Home Delivery Twice a month on Saturday mornings, Lakeview Pantry delivers food to elderly, physically disabled and homebound people. We are looking for volunteers who can give two hours twice a month to assist some of the people in our neighborhood who need it most. We need volunteers who can make food deliveries in their own car or truck, but we also have some opportunities that only require adults who are able-bodied and willing to help. Please contact Erin Stephens at 773-517-4813 if you would like to assist with home delivery.

Fundraising: We are looking for committed volunteers to join our fundraising committee. Committee members help plan and execute special events and Lakeview Pantry’s presence at street fairs. Meeting times and frequency vary with events. Please contact Heather O’Connor at 773-525-5613 for more information.

Board Membership: Lakeview Pantry is looking for new board members. The board of directors focuses on governing the organization and acting as ambassadors to the community. The board meets seven times per year on Wednesday evenings. For more information please contact our board president at president@lakeviewpantry.org.
