Home Delivery Program
Due to physical disabilities, many of those eligible for our services are not able to transport the two weeks’ worth of groceries which we provide to our clients. Disabled and homebound clients can receive groceries through our Home Delivery program.
The program, which began in 1989, has expanded to now serve 180 people per month. We have partnered with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) to secure a full-time volunteer to coordinate the Home Delivery program. The JVC member works with our Director of Volunteers to recruit and train the volunteers needed each distribution day who pack the food and deliver it in their private vehicles.
The Home Delivery service is offered three times each month, from which clients choose one delivery day per month, and is a lifeline for those served by it.
