Please join the Lakeview Pantry Team at the 32nd Annual Hunger Walk on September 16, 2017 taking place at Jackson Park (1793 East Hayes Drive).
Click here to register as a Lakeview Pantry team member! Click on “Join Our Team” button and then register under the “GCFD Member Agency” category. The walk is 100% free! The Greater Chicago Food Depository will donate $12 to Lakeview Pantry for every walker registered, so gather your friends and make it a party!! You can register multiple walkers at once!
Can’t walk but want to donate or raise funds for our team? No problem! Just click on the “DONATE” button and contribute to the cause! Want to donate AND walk? Even better! Just make sure you complete both steps – “Donate” button and “Join Our Team” button. It’s that simple!
Hunger Walk Opens: 7:00 a.m.
Step-Off: 8:30 a.m.
Hunger Walk Ends: 12:00 p.m.
The Hunger Walk is scheduled to occur rain or shine. Very Important– This is a pre-register event only, there will be no registration or t-shirts available at Jackson Park this year! Prior to the event, each participant will receive a walker bib/entry ticket “bibtix” and a 2017 event t-shirt.
We welcome people of all ages to participate in the Hunger Walk. Minors (children under the age of 18), will need a parent’s or guardian’s signature to participate.
What to bring- On the day of the event please be sure to bring the following items: your bibtix, comfortable shoes for walking, sunscreen and a positive attitude!
What not to bring – Since Jackson Park is a public park, please do not bring the following items: glass bottles or glass objects, gas grills*, kegs or alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, fireworks, firearms or animals (service animals are permitted).
