While LVP long has prioritized providing nutritional food baskets to our neighbors, we have recently completed programming planning in response to the alarming rates of obesity.
Some highlights include the following initiatives:
Farmers' Markets: We publicize which farmers markets accept food stamps by posting signs, distributing flyers, and making announcements.
Fresh produce: We are excited about a new relationship that aids us in our efforts to provide fresh produce to our neighbors.
The Hunger Resource Network connected us with the
