On October 1st, along with 300 of our supporters, Lakeview Pantry marked the 40th year of our work.  The event, which took place at the Red Ivy in Wrigleyville, was a celebration of our community’s response to their neighbors in need. Four Pantry supporters - Aida Moran, Kim Freeark and Hank Ryan, Tom Sargant and Terri Worth, & Dr. Clara Orban and Dr. Elliot Weisenberg – were presented with awards for their extremely generous support. The SNAP Hunger Challenge is over. It has been almost a week since it officially ended, and I’ve had plenty of time to think about what I’ve actually learned. SNAP Hunger Challenge: Part 5 – Long-Overdue Updates

To those of you who were patiently waiting to hear the results of the cheating poll, I’m sorry this took so long. All will be explained in Part 6. The results are in – and it was decided that charging myself for free food was not considered cheating.
